People this is the homepage of www.espn.com right now.
As you can see it's all about the Lions. Oh an not because they are winning, no because they are the worst professional sports team ever. Let that sink in a little bit... worst team ever in the history of any professional sport. That's not something that you can easily accomplish. It makes me sick.
Here's why; I have grown up and rooted for the Lions since I could comprehend football. They are my team in my state. Heck they are my Father's team and his Father's team. And it is painful to go from watching Barry Sanders and being excited every time he touched the ball because you never knew what was going to happen, to this....aberration.
And I want it fixed. I'm sick of people laughing at me for supporting them. I agree with this article 100%. The problems need to fixed from the top. Please for god's sake bring in a new GM who knows what he is doing. PLEASE.
Stop the misery.

...After his third of the day, a few fans ripped off their $80 Lions jerseys in frustration and threw them and their $30 Lions caps onto the field and walked out into the driving rain outside shirtless...
lionsinsider.net - Chance Season Could Spiral Out of Control
Yes you read that correctly, and that's exactly how I felt after watching the worst implosion I have ever seen. Dan and I watched an amazing come back to get them back into the lead at 25-24. And then it happened. I used to believe in Kitna, not sure why, I like him, I think he's a good leader I guess. But now he has to go. Im pretty sure any other QB could match his performance so why not try the other guys.

You know what that means!? NFL Season is right around the corner! I'm very excited about it.
Staying on topic though, MSU and Notre Dame should have interesting seasons this year. Especially with UofM having a down turn. GVSU is ranked #1 again, another title would be nice from my alma matter.
Best of all there will actually be something to watch on TV again. Baseball is just killing me with how boring it is.

Due to time constraits and the fact that I am really really lazy (surprise). I will not be doing the football pool this year. Most likely it will be back next year, so think of it as a one year haitus.
I still think that we should do some Lions predictions. I will go with 6 - 10. I'm guessing that kitna will get hurt this year and the offense will come to a grinding halt. Roy Willliams will leave in free agency when the seaon is over. And Millen will still be as dumbfounded as ever. Fire Millen!

Wow that was some game last night. The Giants I think got luck at the end there with Farve throwing that pick. But was it me or did you notice that Brett Farve looked cold out there ? I can remember when the colder it was, snowier it was, and windier it was that Farve just got better and better. I wonder if age is catching up to him.
I did catch parts of the patriots game, but really didnt we all know that they would win? I mean come on you know the people in charge of the NFL told the refs no matter what happens make sure they make it to the Superbowl, there isnt a bigger possible marketing bonzana than an undefeated team playing for it all.
And speaking of the Superbowl the Squares are ready for this year, check them out
