Today we had a nice ice storm, way to usher in March. It was snowing, raining, freezing sleeting and hailing, as well as thundering and lightning out. All in the same day! Thank god for VPN's. I worked from home.

I found some very nice to code to monitor when an ASP.NET application restarts and why. It even writes to the EventLog of the computer the code runs on. I'm pretty happy to have that going, now I can figure out what is causing some restarts in the app Im working on.

Today also marks the start of the basement renovation project here at our lovely home. Many heavy 2x4s were delivered and hauled in. And dont worry it's not like I am the one who is going to be doing the majority of the work. My cousin is overseeing the project and I have way more faith in his abilities than mine. I put up some pictures on my flickr site of a few "before" shots of the basement. Hopefully I will remember to take a few snapshots as the project proceeds.

Maggie is starting to accumulate a vocabulary of words. It's very cute. My favorite I think is when she says Happy. It comes out as Hhhappyyyyyy.

Let me rant a little about this year's Day Light Savings (DST) changes. Brilliant. Frickin sheer 100% brilliancy. Ouuuu but it will save so much money you say ? I say crap on that. It is causing every IT department in the country headaches. Yeah lets just totally invalidate billions of lines of code in every Calendering system ever written...It's JUST a small change in a couple dates right ? So yeah BizStream will be working on that this saturday.

As a side note this rambling entry is brought to you from MrsMcbeev's computer while I run a virus scan on mine...stupid fricking bit torrent liars... Ah well you get what you deserve.
