Excited about the Next Generation of Kentico CMS

Kentico CMS 6.0 is slated to make it out in either Q2 or Q3 of 2011. Recently via twitter feeds, a few internal developers have been posting about some of the new features, and even better, there have been a few screenshots as well.

Some of these new features that they have made public are Windows Azure support for multiple instances, Health Monitoring, and Improved Settings configurations.

After reading through the Roadmap on some of the planned changes and upgrades, I can tell you that I am pretty darn excited about it. If Kentico can pull of a nice solution for object versioning of stylesheets and transformations, and make the import/export process easier, it will shore up the last and only two complaints I have with the Kentico CMS platform. I have complete confidence that they can do it. Heck if they have time to make a nice object orientated API that would just be an extra bonus in my mind.

Now this is only speculation but Gold Partners have not been release any beta versions yet of 6.0, and due to the fact that it is almost March, I’d be willing to bet Q3 of 2011 is when it will happen, and keep your eye out on April 1 2011 for more announcements about version 6.0. That’s the date of the next Kentico Partner Conference.

Kentico CMS 6.0 just can’t get here soon enough!
