I'm Speaking at Code PaLOUsa 2015
Code PaLOUsa is a multi-day software development conference, April 27th - 30th 2015, designed to cover all aspects of software development regardless of technology stack. The conference schedule features presentations from well-known professionals in the software development community. The list of aspects that the conference covers is very impressive, SQL Server, Agile, Angular, ASP.NET are just a few of the topics that are on the list.
This year Kentico and BizStream are supporting the event as platinum sponsors. We will be present at booth number 502. If you are attending come say "Hi!". Also as a part of that sponsorship, I am proud to announce that two of those well-known professionals will be myself and Bryan Soltis, Kentico's Technical Evangelist. We will be co-presenting during the conference.
Our session, Amazon or Azure: Which one is best for your CMS?, is going to point out pro's and con's of using the two well known cloud platforms for hosting a CMS based website. The full abrstract is below:
Brian McKeiver is a proven CMS expert with many applications deployed on cloud platforms such as Amazon EC2, Rackspace, and others. Bryan Soltis is a former Azure VTSP and has migrated all sorts of solutions to Microsoft’scloud. With over a combined 9 years of cloud development, Brian and Bryan have deployed just about anything you can think of to these platforms. The duo will cover platform capability, costs, and overall coolness. So which platform is best for you application ? Come listen to these two knuckleheads debate it out in this interactive session to proclaim who is King of the Cloud!
I fully expect to take that title, I am a fan of using Amazon AWS and have been using it for years to deploy many of the sites that we create and maintain at BizStream. Sorry Bryan.
The conference is taking place in Louisville, KY. It will be a bit of flight for both Bryan and I but we are very excited to be representing both Kentico and BizStream at such a great event. If you are a Kentico developer or web developer who is thinking about attending let me know via the comments of this blog post. I have a few 10% off promo codes for the registration fee. If you can't attend the event in person follow along via the #CPL15 hashtag.
